So far we have raised over five times our annual contributions (almost $9.5 million) and expect to raise more. I do not believe we would have raised this amount without your program, leadership, and support.

We were extremely pleased with the "residential" approach of James D. Klote and Associates.

Carl Moravitz  “We were drawn to JDK&A by their experience in guiding churches and organizations through a process that has proven effective in the delivery of campaign successes.”
Carl L. Moravitz, Campaign Chair
Virginia Conference United Methodist Church
Glen Allen, Virginia
The Virginia Conference is in the midst of a bold plan to transform the culture of our Conference into a culture of fruitfulness.  Our Plan, All Things New, is built on foundations goals of:  (1) establishing new churches to live a new reality in mission, here at home and beyond; and (2) equip existing churches to become renewed faith communities.  This plan represent is an exciting initiative for our Virginia Conference two years in the making, and was wholeheartedly adopted as our new direction at our 2008 official conference-wide meeting.

Of course, funding for such exciting plans is the important next step.   That process began, soon after approval, with a feasibility study to position us for a full capital campaign to begin the following year in support of the All Things New vision.  The Conference turned to James D. Klote and Associates to lead such an effort.  We were drawn to them by their experience in guiding churches and organizations through a process that has proven effective in the delivery of campaign successes.   Beyond their business qualifications, we were also attracted to them with their understanding of the theology of biblical stewardship and the important role it plays in the life of churches and individuals -- of focus of stewardship first in any campaign effort.  We have not been disappointed.  Throughout our feasibility/readiness assessment effort, they have been hands-on, knowledgeable, and directional in guiding us through the discernment process necessary for translating the vision of All Things New to reality throughout our Conference.   The consultant not only brought to our effort an extensive experience and depth of knowledge in best practices and campaign success, but also, because of significant local church experiences, they were able to communicate effectively with local churches and individuals on the unique local concerns identified throughout the feasibility survey process.  The results of the feasibility/readiness assessment provided us with the support and information we needed to recommend to our Annual Conference to move forward on the full capital funds campaign in the coming year.  The readiness assessment has been an important precursor to the upcoming campaign and James D. Klote & Associates have been instrumental in helping us prepare for and establish the needed foundation for that effort.
