READINESS ASSESSMENT / FEASIBILITY STUDY

A process imparting a sense of vision through thoughtful evaluation

"Why should we consider a Readiness Assessment/Feasibility Study?" is a frequently asked question. Successful campaigns have shown it is a necessary step that enhances the churches capital-stewardship potential.

Readiness Assessment

Purpose:

  • Informs all church members about the proposed plans.
  • Solicits input regarding the Case Statement.
  • Builds enthusiasm and consensus for the project.
  • Identifies and cultivates leadership for the campaign.

Benefits:

  • Involves all church members.
  • Informs church members about the project and programs.
  • Stimulates broad involvement.
  • Identifies new leaders.
  • Develops sense of ownership for church members.
  • Assists in measuring timing and potential.
  • Enhances your capital-stewardship potential.

Approach:

Focus Group Meetings - church leadership present to fellow church members the current needs of the church and the proposed solutions to those needs. Meetings are conducted in a comfortable and controlled setting to small groups of church members. Based on the JDK&A approach, peers sharing ideas with peers maximizes the full potential of the Focus Group process.

Personal Interviews - church leaders engage selected church members in thoughtful consideration of the proposed project. The people selected for interviews should be key individuals in the life of the church who may or may not be involved in Focus Group Meetings.

JDK&Consultant

  • Coaches Focus Group Presenters
  • Attends Focus Group Meetings
  • Accompanies Leaders in Personal Interviews
  • Reviews Questionnaire Responses
  • Takes Notes During the Question and Answer Session
  • Submits Study Report

The JDK&A Readiness Assessment / Feasibility Study provides an effective method for clergy and church leaders to evaluate the proposed plans.

1 Corinthians 16:2: "On the first day of every week, each of you is to put aside something, as you may prosper."
